FUTURAMA IN 3D... well, a test shot.

Futurama, The Simpsons, Family Guy or even Biker Mice From Mars; Imagine they were all re-created in 3D animation?

Well, Alexey Zakharov did just that. Not an entire episode (boo!) but 32 seconds of the Futurama intro. It is mind-blowingly amazing and I only hope that Matt Groening has come across this work of art and feels like he needs Alexey to do an entire episode (or six).

Watch the 3D test shot here and make sure you have a spare pair of briefs.

Video: Are Smart Phones taking over?

"We have to do a video shoot tomorrow morning", said my Managing Director. "Okay!", I said. "Wait, what camera am I going to use?", I asked. "Use the iPhone, that should do the trick!", he said.

I shot a whole promotional video for one of our clients on an iPhone 5. Yes, the WHOLE thing. To see the quality that I received from this "camera", I was blown away. Now, I have seen a lot of videos shot on smart phones but I have never experienced it first hand, so this was my taste of what a smart phone can REALLY do.

The end product was well received by the client and was over the moon. I was relieved. I then decided to test my mates on what they would think of the video, so I had it converted to play on my Samsung S3 so that I could show them on the weekend. "Check this video I shot", I said to my one friend. "Woah, that is amazing!", he said. "Guess what it was shot on?", I asked. His instant reply was a Canon 7D. When I told him that it was shot on an iPhone he was flabbergasted. This was the exact response I was hoping for.

It's quite scary to see what you can do on a phone these days. A week later, I was shown a video that Samsung shot on their new S5 smart phone. This blew my mind and answered a lot of questions I had for the future of smart phone capabilities. Where to next? Surely the technology is just going to get better and better.

Here is Samsung's short video that they shot on the new S5 showcasing it's HDR camera. The video was shot at the beautiful location in, Triesta, Italy.

Now, that might blow you away but here we have an entire film (88 minutes long) that was shot on an iPhone 5. The best thing about this, is that the director had to warm up the iPhone under his armpit to keep it working in the cold.

Many of the shots had to be redone because the iPhone's battery died.

The Simpsons... and wine.

I love seeing awesome ideas come together, creating a masterpiece.

Here, we have an animation that was created in 1987, The Simpsons and a design that has been inspired by the works of Piet Mondrian.

I love the idea, concept and execution.

The project has been put together by Constantin Bolimond. Check out his profile on Behance.
